What you will do:

• Respond to calls from service users, carers, and professionals requiring immediate mental health support.

• Undertake telephone triage and comprehensive mental health assessments.

• Develop and implement safety plans to support individuals experiencing mental health crises.

• Maintain accurate clinical records, referrals, and documentation to support safe and effective care delivery.

• Liaise with healthcare professionals, partner agencies, and support services to coordinate integrated care pathways.

• Develop formulations and care plans for frequent callers to ensure continuity of care.

• Deliver brief therapeutic interventions and crisis support via telephone where appropriate.

• Participate in quality improvement projects and service development initiatives.

• Coordinate shifts and provide operational support to colleagues within the service.

• Offer clinical leadership and oversight to maintain high standards of care and professional practice.

• Support staff development through mentoring, teaching, supervision, and role modelling best practice.

• Promote person-centred, recovery-focused approaches throughout all aspects of service delivery.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy or relevant professional qualification.

• Current HCPC registration.

• Experience working within mental health services.

• Strong assessment, risk management, and crisis intervention skills.

• Experience of multidisciplinary working and collaborative care planning.

• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and demanding clinical environment.
