What you will do:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Social Workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery within the Early Help framework.
- Oversee assessment and intervention processes to ensure families receive timely and effective support.
- Provide professional guidance, supervision, and support to team members.
- Collaborate with external agencies and key stakeholders to coordinate services and develop comprehensive support plans.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance against agreed objectives and performance standards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement appropriate strategies to enhance service delivery.
- Manage team resources effectively to ensure operational priorities and performance targets are achieved.
- Provide expert social work advice and guidance to practitioners when managing complex situations.
- Foster a supportive, collaborative, and empowering environment where team members can develop professionally.
- Promote effective early intervention and family-focused practice throughout the service.
Essential requirements:
- Relevant Social Work qualification.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Substantial post-qualification Social Work experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within social care.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing Social Workers.
- Knowledge and understanding of Early Help and family support services.
- Strong understanding of assessment and intervention processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively with external agencies and multidisciplinary partners.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
