This exciting role offers an hourly rate of up to £26.00 for full-time work from Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. The contract begins on 14th September 2026 and runs until 18th December 2026. What you will do:

- Perform Biomedical Scientist duties within a hospital laboratory setting
- Process and analyse patient samples
- Operate and maintain laboratory analysers and equipment
- Validate and report laboratory results
- Maintain quality control and quality assurance standards
- Ensure compliance with laboratory policies and procedures
- Support the delivery of an efficient pathology service
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
- Participate in shift work, including nights and weekends


Requirements:

- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
- NHS laboratory experience
- Biomedical Scientist experience
- Ability to work all shifts including nights and weekends
- Strong laboratory analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience using Roche Cobas analysers
- Experience using WinPath middleware
- Acute hospital pathology laboratory experience
