What you will do

  • Lead and coordinate Adult Social Care quality assurance and audit programmes.
  • Undertake and oversee case file audits, practice audits, and thematic reviews.
  • Monitor the quality of assessments, care planning, risk management, and safeguarding practice.
  • Identify practice gaps and areas requiring improvement, developing and implementing strategic action plans.
  • Provide professional advice, challenge, and support to social workers, practitioners, and managers.
  • Analyse performance, quality, and safeguarding data to identify trends, themes, and risks.
  • Support the implementation of learning from Safeguarding Adults Reviews, complaints investigations, audits, and serious incidents.
  • Ensure practice compliance with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding legislation, and relevant statutory guidance.
  • Work closely with operational managers, senior leaders, and multidisciplinary partners to drive service improvement.
  • Contribute to workforce development through supervision, training, mentoring, and continuous professional development initiatives.
  • Promote strengths-based, person-centred, and outcome-focused social work practice across services.
  • Prepare detailed quality assurance reports and provide assurance to senior management teams and governance boards.
  • Support inspection readiness and contribute to the continuous improvement of Adult Social Care services.
