Team Manager, Leaving Care Service in Ilford, London

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Leaving Care Service to work full time for Finefair, based in Gants Hill, Redbridge.


The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £50,000 per annum.

Main duties:

  •    To promote a culture of honesty, trustworthiness, reliability and respectfulness.

  •    Support an open, positive and inclusive working culture.
  •    Participate in the maintenance of the Company’s information and recording systems as required.
  •    Review support workers case notes are completed to the agreed standard. Exploring ways to execute and implement the best support with the team.
  •    Raising any safeguarding concerns not already reported to Service Manager.
  •    Update engagement tracker from case notes.
  •    Check invoices received from Support Worker reconciles with CRM, if not, escalate to Leaving Care Manager & Client Manager.
  •    Assist the Leaving Care Manager with borough monitoring tasks when due.
  •    Complete young person’s feedback forms, face-to-dace or by telephone monthly.
  •    Collate the support workers hours worked on their invoices and submit to finance within the timescale.
  •    Provide cover to the Learning Care Service Manager as and when required.
  •    Property visits/inspections of shared and standalone accommodation.
  •    Visits to young people to ascertain feedback of their property and support/resolve emergencies.
  •    Supervision along-side line manager.
  •    Training staff, induction training, running training sessions & arranging appropriate staff training.
  •    Continuing to develop a care centred led approach through out support and care led service.
  •    Attending key meeting/involving high-risk and/or vulnerable children & young people, including things such as placement breakdowns.
  •    Attending multi-agency public protection arrangement meetings, regarding management of violent and sexual offenders.
  •    Assisting with dealing with any complaints, investigating and escalating. Assess and provide resolutions for complaints.
  •    Management of verbal and written warning for YP’s.
  •    Completing monitoring & improving service quality through audits, performance indicators, and team evaluations.
  •    Working with the Service Manager to drive continuous service improvement.

Requirements of this Team Manager job:

  •    A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  •    Understanding of relevant legislation.
  •    Continual professional development.
  •    Social Work England registered.
