We have an exhilarating opportunity for you to join a dynamic Children's Disability Team as an Occupational Therapist in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a real difference working in a rewarding environment, earning up to £28.95 per hour. This is an ongoing, full-time position encompassing a hybrid working model with the hours of 37 per week, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00. What you will do:

- Manage a complex Children's Occupational Therapy caseload with care and expertise.
- Assess children with a wide spectrum of disabilities within their home environments.
- Execute assessments for children with physical and behavioural needs and undertake complex moving and handling assessments.
- Recommend and arrange for specialist equipment and assess for major adaptations.
- Develop and implement person-centred intervention plans to maximise children's independence.
- Liaise effectively with children, families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure cohesive care.
- Maintain precise records and reports that reflect the progress and needs of each child.
- Support children and families to maximise independence and participation in everyday activities.

Requirements:

- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Previous experience working with children and families, particularly in assessing and recommending adaptations and specialist equipment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team-working aptitude combined with organisational prowess.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and a clean DBS required.
- Experience within a Children's Disability Team and managing complex paediatric cases.
- Background in mentoring or developing others and familiarity with hybrid working arrangements.
