What you will do

• Manage a complex caseload involving Children in Need, Child Protection Plans, Public Law Outline (PLO) processes, and care proceedings.
• Undertake statutory assessments, risk assessments, and Section 47 enquiries in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Develop, implement, and review child-centred plans that promote safety, permanence, and improved outcomes for children and young people.
• Prepare high-quality reports for Child Protection Conferences, court proceedings, Looked After Children reviews, and other statutory meetings.

Requirements

• Degree or Postgraduate Qualification in Social Work.
• Completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) or equivalent post-qualification experience.
• Relevant continuing professional development in safeguarding and child protection practice.
• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
• Significant post-qualification experience within a Local Authority Children's Services environment.
• Proven experience managing Child Protection, Children in Need, and court work cases.
