What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of kinship foster carers, providing regular supervision and guidance

• Support carers in promoting positive attachments and managing children’s emotional wellbeing

• Provide practical advice on parenting, education, and child development

• Conduct thorough assessments of prospective kinship carers in line with statutory guidance

• Prepare detailed reports for fostering panels and support carers through the registration process

• Monitor placements to ensure the wellbeing and safety of children

• Identify and respond promptly to safeguarding concerns

• Collaborate closely with social workers, child services, and other professionals

• Maintain accurate and confidential case records

• Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks and local policies

Person Specification:

• Degree in Social Work (BA / MA / DipSW)

• Registered with Social Work England (SWE)

• Experience in children’s social care, fostering, or kinship care is desirable

• Strong skills in assessment, supervision, and supporting carers
