What you will do:

• Undertake child protection assessments and investigations in line with statutory guidance, ensuring the safety and welfare of children

• Identify risks of harm and develop robust safety and protection plans to safeguard children effectively

• Respond promptly to referrals, attend strategy meetings, and contribute to case conferences to ensure comprehensive child protection

• Prepare detailed reports and statements for court proceedings, presenting cases professionally to advocate for the child's best interests

• Work collaboratively with legal teams, guardians, and other professionals during care proceedings to achieve the best outcomes for children

• Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of children in care, constantly monitoring and adjusting to meet their evolving requirements

• Engage with multi-agency teams from health, education, police, housing, and more to coordinate and optimise support for families

• Maintain accurate and timely case records, ensuring compliance with all statutory and local safeguarding policies

• Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and continuous professional development to enhance your practice and services

Person Specification:

• Degree in Social Work (BA / MA / DipSW)

• Registered with Social Work England (SWE)

• Experience in Children’s Social Care, including safeguarding, court work, or care planning
