What you will do:

Undertake child protection assessments and investigations in line with statutory guidance, ensuring the safety and welfare of children

Identify risks of harm and develop robust safety and protection plans to safeguard children effectively

Respond promptly to referrals, attend strategy meetings, and contribute to case conferences to ensure comprehensive child protection

Prepare detailed reports and statements for court proceedings, presenting cases professionally to advocate for the child's best interests

Work collaboratively with legal teams, guardians, and other professionals during care proceedings to achieve the best outcomes for children

Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of children in care, constantly monitoring and adjusting to meet their evolving requirements

Engage with multi-agency teams from health, education, police, housing, and more to coordinate and optimise support for families

Maintain accurate and timely case records, ensuring compliance with all statutory and local safeguarding policies

Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and continuous professional development to enhance your practice and services
Person Specification:

Degree in Social Work (BA / MA / DipSW)

Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
-
Experience in Children’s Social Care, including safeguarding, court work, or care planning
