What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of children and families under safeguarding concerns, including Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17) cases.

• Perform statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning, ensuring prompt and effective safeguarding interventions.

• Engage in strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core group meetings, promoting robust multi-agency collaboration.

• Develop and implement child-centred safeguarding and care plans, monitor outcomes, and regularly review plans to ensure they meet the needs of the children and families.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) and evidence of continued professional development.

• Registration & Compliance: Must be registered with Social Work England and possess enhanced DBS clearance.

• Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant legislation and frameworks such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
