What you will do:

Respond to initial referrals and enquiries, assessing risk and determining the level of intervention required.
Undertake statutory assessments, including Child and Family Assessments, in line with the Children Act 1989 and local safeguarding procedures.
Manage a caseload of children and families subject to Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) processes.
Participate in strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings, ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration.

Person Specification:

Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development.
Registration and Compliance: Registered with Social Work England; knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Enhanced DBS Clearance: Required for all candidates to ensure safety and compliance.
