We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Lewisham. What you will do:

• Assess and manage safeguarding concerns, identifying risks and determining the most appropriate level of intervention for children and families.
• Gather, analyse, and evaluate information from partner agencies to support effective multi-agency decision-making.
• Undertake screening and threshold assessments in line with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues, partner agencies, and newly qualified social workers where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with police, health professionals, education providers, and other agencies to ensure coordinated safeguarding responses.
• Participate in strategy discussions, case consultations, and multidisciplinary meetings to support child protection planning.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive case records in accordance with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and other relevant legislation and safeguarding frameworks.

Requirements:

• A recognised Social Work qualification.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Previous experience within Children's Social Care, preferably within a MASH, Referral and Assessment, or Safeguarding Team.
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, safeguarding procedures, and risk assessment frameworks.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
