What you will do:

• Chair statutory reviews for children looked after in accordance with legislation and statutory timescales.
• Ensure care plans are robust, outcome-focused, and meet children's assessed needs.
• Monitor the implementation of review decisions and recommendations, ensuring top-notch standards.
• Make sure children's wishes, feelings, and views are fully represented within the review process.
• Provide independent challenge if care planning is delayed or does not meet required standards.
• Escalate concerns through dispute resolution processes when necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
• Promote permanence planning including reunification, adoption, special guardianship, or long-term fostering where appropriate.
• Build effective working relationships with multi-agency partners to enhance collaborative efforts.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records and review documentation.
• Contribute to service improvement, audits, and quality assurance activities to help elevate service standards.
• Keep up to date with legislation, safeguarding procedures, and social work best practices for optimal performance.
