What you will do

  • Assess and supervise kinship and fostering arrangements, primarily within Darlington, with occasional national assessments as required.
  • Complete viability assessments and Form K assessments to support informed decision-making and positive outcomes for children.
  • Supervise Connected Foster Carers, providing advice, guidance, and support to maintain high standards of care.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
  • Promote the safety, wellbeing, and permanence of children within fostering and kinship placements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and professional reports and assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner organisations to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • Manage responsibilities effectively within a hybrid working model.
