What you will do:

• Respond promptly to initial referrals and enquiries, performing triage and risk assessments to determine necessary interventions.

• Conduct statutory assessments, such as Child and Family Assessments, in line with the Children Act 1989 and local safeguarding protocols.

• Handle a caseload involving children and families under Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) processes.

• Participate actively in strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core groups to ensure effective multi-agency collaboration.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development.

• Registration & Compliance: Registered with Social Work England and knowledgeable in legislation including the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

• Enhanced DBS Clearance: Essential for managing sensitive cases with integrity and professionalism.
