Social Worker - Children's Safeguarding Team - Enfield UK - £34.50 per hour - Hourly - Ongoing

We have an exhilarating locum opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Children's Safeguarding Team in Enfield. Working hours are flexible, available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with adaptable start and finish times such as 8am to 6pm or 8am to 4pm. Part time is also considered, allowing you to find that ideal work-life balance.

What you will do:

- Conduct comprehensive Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, and evaluate risks to ensure children's safety.
- Carry out Section 47 Child protection investigations and write Statements for court proceedings.
- Complete Section 7 and Section 37 reports to inform court decisions and provide evidence on behalf of the authority.
- Make essential home visits to monitor family environments and safeguard children.
- Maintain precise, up-to-date case recordings and documents.
- Convene and chair core group meetings to drive positive outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with other professionals to deliver holistic support.
- Execute joint investigations with the police and conduct interviews.
- Initiate care proceedings, implementing and reviewing Care Plans to drive positive child welfare outcomes.
- Supervise contact sessions when needed, ensuring children's comfort and safety.
- Pen detailed case conference reports and actively engage in strategy meetings and case conferences.
- Complete Child in Need plans, making sure every child receives the tailored support they deserve.
