What you will do

• Undertake statutory assessments in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
• Manage Child in Need, Child Protection and Public Law Outline cases, ensuring timely and outcome-focused intervention.
• Complete risk assessments, develop safeguarding plans and review progress against identified outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality reports, assessments and care plans for conferences, court proceedings and multi-agency meetings.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work (BA, BSc or MA Social Work) or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Successful completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) where applicable.

Registration and Compliance

• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989, Children Act 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Public Law Outline (PLO) and relevant safeguarding legislation.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
