What you will do:

• Manage and coordinate the statutory Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessment and review process for a caseload of children and young people aged 0-25.
• Work collaboratively with parents, carers, educational settings, health professionals, and partner agencies to secure positive outcomes.
• Draft, amend, and maintain high-quality, legally compliant Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Provide advice and guidance on SEND legislation, policy, and best practice to a range of stakeholders.
• Ensure statutory timescales and performance targets are met while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
• Attend annual reviews, multi-agency meetings, mediation meetings, and other forums to support effective SEND provision.
• Promote inclusive education and support educational settings in meeting the needs of children and young people with SEND.
• Maintain accurate records and case management information using relevant systems and databases.
• Contribute to service development initiatives and support the implementation of legislative changes and best practice guidance.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Previous experience working within SEND Services, Education, Local Authority Services, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, and relevant SEND legislation.
• Experience coordinating EHC Needs Assessments and managing EHCP processes is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong organisational and case management abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Experience working effectively within multi-agency environments.
• Proficiency in using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
