What you will do:
• Lead and manage the Learning Disabilities Adult Social Care Team, providing supervision, guidance, and support to team members.
• Oversee duty allocations and ensure workloads are distributed effectively to meet service demands.
• Conduct case audits and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of practice and compliance.
• Support caseload management, ensuring timely assessments, reviews, and interventions are completed.
• Work collaboratively with three other Team Leaders to ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the service.
• Manage and resolve complaints professionally, promoting positive outcomes and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership and professional advice on complex cases involving adults with learning disabilities.
• Support staff development through supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Contribute to strategic planning, service development, and improvement initiatives across Adult Social Care.
• Build strong relationships with partner agencies, healthcare professionals, providers, and community organisations.
• Monitor performance against service objectives and statutory responsibilities.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Significant post-qualification experience within Adult Social Care.
• Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex support needs.
• Previous supervisory, senior practitioner, deputy manager, or management experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, safeguarding legislation, and relevant Adult Social Care frameworks.
• Experience undertaking quality assurance, case auditing, and performance monitoring activities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and support teams within a fast-paced environment.
