What you will do:

• Undertake statutory assessments, including Child and Family Assessments, in line with the Children Act 1989 and local authority procedures.

• Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) processes.

• Complete risk assessments and safety planning, ensuring timely and effective safeguarding interventions.

• Lead and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings, ensuring multi-agency collaboration.

Person Specification:
Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)

• Evidence of continued professional development

Registration and Compliance

• Registered with Social Work England

• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children

• Enhanced DBS clearance
