What you will do:
- Manage and lead a social work team ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people are prioritised.
- Investigate and manage risk in accordance with safeguarding frameworks, ensuring comprehensive risk assessments and informed planning.
- Drive operational service delivery, ensuring thorough decision-making processes that incorporate rigorous analysis and professional judgement.
- Provide critical reflection, challenge, and evidence-informed decision-making in complex situations, while modelling good practice and reflective supervision.
- Collaborate with both internal and external colleagues to co-ordinate and enhance service delivery, participating actively in multi-agency meetings.
- Handle key decisions related to resource allocation and service closure, ensuring best value delivery of services.
- Oversee the application of performance targets and management processes, promoting team development and handling disciplinary issues.
