What you will do:

• Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring seamless support for clinicians and a comfortable experience for patients
• Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, including setting up instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with clinical procedures and treatment plans
• Undertake decontamination and sterilisation of instruments, ensuring full compliance with infection prevention and control standards
• Maintain precise and contemporaneous patient records while safeguarding data protection and confidentiality
• Support patient care before, during, and after treatment by providing reassurance and clear communication to individuals of all ages and backgrounds

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent Level 3 qualification
• Valid certification in Dental Nursing recognised by the General Dental Council

Registration & Compliance:

• Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
• Knowledge of the Dentists Act 1984 and GDC Scope of Practice
• Understanding of infection control standards, safeguarding responsibilities, and GDPR requirements
• Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Experience:

• Previous experience working in an NHS or private dental practice
• Experience supporting a range of treatments including restorative, preventative, and minor oral surgery
• Familiarity with working in a regulated clinical environment and meeting audit/compliance standards
