This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference as a Social Work Team Manager within our dynamic Duty and Assessment Team in Wigan. You will earn £42.00 per hour in this fulfilling role. We are searching for an experienced, innovative, and creative team manager to manage one of our Duty Teams. Working within the fast-paced and dynamic Duty and Assessment Service, you will collaborate with the five existing Duty Teams to ensure effective service delivery. You will focus on driving good practice, supporting social workers with complex and high-risk cases, and maintaining high safeguarding standards. Your role is crucial in completing initial Children and Family assessments promptly, ensuring children and families receive timely support.

What you will do:

Lead and manage one of the Duty Teams to ensure high-quality service and effective support for complex and high-risk cases

Ensure timely completion of initial Children and Family assessments

Collaborate closely with other team managers across the Duty and Assessment Service

Drive good practice and maintain high safeguarding standards across the service

Engage with children, young people, and parents to achieve positive outcomes

Navigate complex legal proceedings and apply relevant legislative frameworks effectively

Promote independence, strengths, and assets of children and families within their communities
