What you will do:
- Lead and manage the Duty and Assessment team within Children's Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and adherence to statutory guidelines.
- Oversee the assessment and prioritisation of cases, making informed and timely decisions to protect children and support families.
- Develop and implement strategies that promote team development, performance improvement, and professional growth.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
- Provide guidance and support to social workers within the team, facilitating regular supervision and fostering a positive work environment.
- Monitor and manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are utilised efficiently.
Requirements of the Team Manager:
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree or equivalent qualification in social work, with a current registration with Social Work England. Recent managerial experience is essential, ideally as a Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, or Assistant Team Manager. You should bring significant frontline experience in Children's Services, demonstrating a strong commitment and a strategic approach to team leadership.
