We are currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Mental Health Staff Nurse (RMN) to join our team at HMP Dovegate in Uttoxeter forASAP start - 12-week placement. This exciting opportunity offers a salary of £26.00 per hour for a full-time position, from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00. Ideal candidates will have recent prison experience and current prison clearance, enabling them to thrive in this dynamic and challenging role within a secure environment.

What you will do:

• Manage your own caseload of service users with various mental health needs, providing tailored support and care.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and devise individual care plans focused on specialist interventions and risk management.
• Deliver exceptional mental health care across wellbeing, primary, and secondary care pathways.
• Establish strong working relationships with internal prison healthcare teams and external agencies, ensuring cohesive care delivery and continuity.
• Coordinate care effectively, maintain accurate clinical notes, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and safety within the secure environment.

Requirements:

• Current Prison Clearance
• Worked within the prison service in the last 12 months
• Valid RMN qualification & NMC registration
• Ability to work independently within a secure environment
• Experience managing a mental health caseload, including assessments, interventions, reviews, and multidisciplinary collaboration
