Senior Practitioner within Safeguarding Team in Ealing UK earning £36 Hourly. Ongoing Full-time position. This is an exciting opportunity to become an instrumental part of the London Borough of Ealing's Adult Mental Health Social Work Team. In this senior practitioner role, you will utilise your substantial experience in adult safeguarding to make a significant difference in the lives of residents impacted by mental ill health.

What you will do:
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to non-qualified staff.
- Take the lead in managing the Safeguarding Adults duty inbox.
- Review and authorise Section 42(1) safeguarding concerns.
- Conduct complex Section 42(2) safeguarding enquiries effectively.
- Serve as Safeguarding Adults Manager (SAM) for allocated cases, offering oversight and decision-making throughout the safeguarding process.
- Undertake assessments and interventions aligned with statutory duties and team timelines.
- Foster practice development and promote effective multi-agency collaboration.
- Contribute to positive outcomes for adults with mental health needs through person-centred, strength-based practice.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience within Adult Social Care safeguarding services. Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983 as amended 2007, and Human Rights Act 1998. Experience working with adults with mental health needs and alongside secondary mental health services is highly desirable.
