What you will do:
- Conduct thorough Best Interest Assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) legislation.
- Collaborate effectively with adults at risk and various stakeholders to ensure their safeguarding and well-being.
- Evaluate complex situations to ensure statutory duties are fulfilled, whilst promoting empowerment and positive risk management for individuals.
- Prepare detailed and well-structured reports in a timely manner, adhering to strict deadlines and achieving high standards.
- Engage in multi-disciplinary work, providing expert advice and support to colleagues and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with legal guidelines and organisational policies.
Requirements of the BIA:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK, working as a qualified Social Worker or BIA.
