Social Worker – Cared for Team
Location: Torquay
Pay: £42 per hour + £150 weekly accommodation allowance
Contract: Temporary, Full-time

Seven Resourcing is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join the Cared for Team in Torquay. In this role, you will support children and young people who are looked after, ensuring they receive high-quality, consistent support that promotes stability, safety, and positive long-term outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a defined caseload of children and young people in care.
• Complete assessments, care plans, and reviews in line with statutory requirements.
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and families to ensure the best outcomes.
• Provide ongoing support, advocacy, and guidance to children and young people.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date case recordings and documentation.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work degree.
• Current registration with SWE.
• Experience working within children’s services, ideally within a cared-for or looked-after team.
• Strong assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload and work effectively under pressure.
