What you will do:

Manage a complex caseload of children subject to Section 47 (Child Protection) and Section 17 (Child in Need) processes, ensuring high-quality care and assessment.

Undertake and oversee advanced statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning, ensuring timely and effective interventions to safeguard children.

Provide exceptional practice leadership, mentoring, and support to social workers, promoting reflective and evidence-based practice at every step.

Lead and contribute actively to strategy discussions, participate meaningfully in child protection conferences, and engage effectively in core group meetings.
Qualifications / Requirements:

Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent). Evidence of continued professional development is required, with post-qualifying training desirable.

Registration and compliance: Must be registered with Social Work England, with a solid understanding of legislative frameworks such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

DBS requirement: Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
