What you will do:
- Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring targeted help, carrying out assessments in line with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance
- Lead on Child in Need planning, ensuring interventions are timely, proportionate, and focused on outcomes
- Provide professional support and mentoring to social workers, helping to maintain quality assurance and foster reflective practice
- Undertake risk assessments and implement safeguarding measures to protect children from harm
- Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategy discussions, liaising effectively with partner agencies
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
- Post-qualification training relevant to children and families practice
Registration & Compliance:
- Registered with Social Work England
- Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and the Equality Act 2010
- Understanding of local authority safeguarding frameworks and OFSTED expectations
