What you will do
- Manage a complex caseload of children and young people with disabilities, ensuring comprehensive statutory assessments, reviews, and care planning are carried out.
- Lead safeguarding interventions and child protection enquiries, managing risk in line with legal requirements and local policies.
- Develop and implement tailored support plans that focus on promoting wellbeing, safety, inclusion, and resilience for families.
- Collaborate with education, health, SEND, early help, and voluntary sector partners to coordinate and deliver effective services.
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent (BA Hons, DipSW, CQSW).
- Practice Educator Award or a willingness to undertake training is desirable.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and learning.
Registration & Compliance
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, SEND Code of Practice, and safeguarding laws.
Experience
- Significant post-qualification experience in Children's Social Care.
- Experience supporting children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.
- Proven ability to manage complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
