Pay Rates (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
- Weekday: £26.90 per hour
- Weeknight: £27.46 per hour
- Saturday Day: £28.02 per hour
- Saturday Night: £28.58 per hour
- Sunday Day: £29.14 per hour
- Sunday Night: £30.26 per hour
- Bank Holiday Day: £33.62 per hour
- Bank Holiday Night: £34.74 per hour
The Role
Seven Resourcing is recruiting experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to support a specialist Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Middleton St George.
You will provide expert mental health nursing care to male patients experiencing acute psychiatric difficulties within a secure and therapeutic inpatient setting.
This role requires an experienced RMN who is confident managing complex presentations, responding to periods of crisis and delivering safe, recovery-focused care alongside a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care in accordance with the NMC Code.
- Assess, plan and evaluate individualised care plans.
- Complete mental health assessments and contribute to clinical decision-making.
- Safely administer medication and monitor treatment outcomes.
- Carry out risk assessments and support patient safety planning.
- Recognise and respond to deterioration in mental and physical health.
- Support patients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to promote recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide support and supervision to Healthcare Assistants.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control and health and safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- Minimum of 6 months' recent post-registration experience within mental health services.
- Must have completed PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training.
- Experience within PICU, acute psychiatric or secure mental health settings is desirable.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and clinical risk management.
- Excellent assessment, communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable or willingness to obtain one.
