Pay Rates (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)

• Weekday: £26.90 per hour
• Weeknight: £27.46 per hour
• Saturday Day: £28.02 per hour
• Saturday Night: £28.58 per hour
• Sunday Day: £29.14 per hour
• Sunday Night: £30.26 per hour
• Bank Holiday Day: £33.62 per hour
• Bank Holiday Night: £34.74 per hour

The Role

Seven Resourcing is recruiting experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to support a specialist Female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Middleton St George.

This role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality nursing care to women experiencing acute mental health crises within a structured inpatient environment. You will provide clinical leadership, support recovery-focused practice and promote patient safety while working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

As an RMN, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, supporting patients through periods of acute illness while ensuring care is delivered in line with professional standards and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care in line with the NMC Code.
• Complete comprehensive mental health and physical health assessments.
• Develop, implement and review person-centred care plans.
• Administer medication safely and effectively in line with clinical procedures.
• Undertake risk assessments and contribute to risk management plans.
• Monitor patient progress and accurately document clinical information.
• Respond professionally to mental health crises and changes in patient presentation.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and promote recovery-focused care.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, healthcare assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Support and provide guidance to Healthcare Assistants where appropriate.
• Maintain safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety standards.

Essential Requirements

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
• Minimum of 6 months' recent post-registration experience within mental health services.
• Must have completed PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training.
• Experience within PICU, acute mental health or secure services is desirable.
• Knowledge of mental health legislation and recovery-focused practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable or willingness to obtain one.
