Pay Rates (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
- Weekday: £26.90 per hour
- Weeknight: £27.46 per hour
- Saturday Day: £28.02 per hour
- Saturday Night: £28.58 per hour
- Sunday Day: £29.14 per hour
- Sunday Night: £30.26 per hour
- Bank Holiday Day: £33.62 per hour
- Bank Holiday Night: £34.74 per hour
The Role
Seven Resourcing is recruiting experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to support a specialist Male Medium Secure Forensic Unit in Middleton St George.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a secure forensic mental health environment supporting individuals with complex mental health needs.
You will provide skilled nursing care focused on risk management, rehabilitation and recovery while working alongside a multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective mental health nursing care within a secure forensic setting.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred care plans.
- Support patients with complex mental health needs and challenging presentations.
- Undertake risk assessments and contribute to risk management strategies.
- Administer medication safely and monitor patient response.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Support rehabilitation and recovery-focused interventions.
- Provide therapeutic engagement and maintain professional boundaries.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists and wider clinical teams.
- Support and supervise Healthcare Assistants.
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding, infection control and health and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- Minimum of 6 months' recent post-registration experience within mental health services.
- Must have completed PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training.
- Experience within forensic, secure, PICU or rehabilitation mental health settings is desirable.
- Understanding of mental health legislation and risk assessment processes.
- Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a secure and structured environment.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable or willingness to obtain one.
