Pay Rates (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
- Weekday: £26.90 per hour
- Weeknight: £27.46 per hour
- Saturday Day: £28.02 per hour
- Saturday Night: £28.58 per hour
- Sunday Day: £29.14 per hour
- Sunday Night: £30.26 per hour
- Bank Holiday Day: £33.62 per hour
- Bank Holiday Night: £34.74 per hour
The Role
Seven Resourcing is recruiting experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to support a specialist Mixed Acute Mental Health Ward in Middleton St George.
You will provide expert mental health nursing care to male and female patients experiencing a range of acute mental health needs.
This role offers varied clinical experience within a busy inpatient environment, requiring an adaptable RMN who can assess complex presentations, manage changing priorities and deliver safe, recovery-focused care.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout assessment, treatment and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care in line with the NMC Code.
- Assess patients' mental and physical health needs.
- Develop and evaluate person-centred care plans.
- Administer medication safely in accordance with clinical guidance.
- Complete risk assessments and support patient safety plans.
- Respond appropriately to mental health crises.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and recovery-focused support.
- Build professional relationships with patients and their families where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, Healthcare Assistants and wider clinical teams.
- Support Healthcare Assistants through guidance and supervision.
- Maintain safeguarding, infection control and health and safety standards.
Essential Requirements
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- Minimum of 6 months' recent post-registration experience within mental health services.
- Must have completed PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training.
- Experience within acute mental health, inpatient or psychiatric services is desirable.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and recovery-focused care.
- Strong assessment, communication and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable or willingness to obtain one.
