Pay Rates (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)

  • Weekday: £26.90 per hour
  • Weeknight: £27.46 per hour
  • Saturday Day: £28.02 per hour
  • Saturday Night: £28.58 per hour
  • Sunday Day: £29.14 per hour
  • Sunday Night: £30.26 per hour
  • Bank Holiday Day: £33.62 per hour
  • Bank Holiday Night: £34.74 per hour

The Role

Seven Resourcing is recruiting experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to support a specialist Female Acute Mental Health Ward in Middleton St George.

This role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality nursing care to women experiencing acute mental health difficulties within an inpatient setting. You will support patients through assessment, treatment and recovery while promoting dignity, safety and positive outcomes.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will use your clinical expertise to assess patient needs, develop care plans and provide evidence-based interventions that support recovery and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care in line with the NMC Code.
  • Complete comprehensive mental health and physical health assessments.
  • Develop, implement and review individualised care plans.
  • Administer medication safely and monitor treatment effectiveness.
  • Undertake risk assessments and contribute to patient safety planning.
  • Monitor changes in patients' mental and physical health.
  • Support patients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and promote recovery-focused practice.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, healthcare assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Support and supervise Healthcare Assistants where appropriate.
  • Ensure safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures are followed.

Essential Requirements

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Minimum of 6 months' recent post-registration experience within mental health services.
  • Must have completed PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training.
  • Experience within acute mental health, inpatient or psychiatric settings is desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of mental health legislation and recovery-focused practice.
  • Excellent communication, assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable or willingness to obtain one.
