What you will do

  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services including medication reviews, prescribing support, and medicines optimisation in accordance with NICE guidance
  • Provide expert advice and support to clinicians on safe prescribing, drug interactions, and therapeutic management to enhance patient safety
  • Ensure the safe dispensing and supply of medicines, while adhering to prison security protocols and local procedures
  • Contribute to medicines governance initiatives, including audits, incident reporting, and the implementation of improvement plans to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent and maintain registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • An Independent Prescribing qualification is desirable
  • Prior experience in primary care, prison healthcare, NHS, or community pharmacy settings is essential, along with experience managing complex patients with co-morbidities
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service improvement and quality initiatives
