Payroll Administrator - Up to £33,000 – Hospitality Business
Wembley Area | Fully Office-Based (9am-6pm)
payroll/admin - HA9 8BQ
We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented and confident Payroll Administrator to join a growing hospitality business based in Wembley. Working across a portfolio of different hospitality brands, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth and accurate delivery of high-volume payroll across multiple restaurant sites. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous payroll administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is confident communicating with different teams and has a strong eye for detail. Experience within the hospitality industry would be advantageous but is not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in a similar payroll role and are comfortable managing deadlines and handling payroll queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the processing of high-volume fortnightly payrolls, ensuring all deadlines are met using bespoke payroll systems.
- Tracking, processing and amending holiday pay, Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), maternity, paternity and other types of leave.
- Checking and validating payroll information received from restaurant sites, ensuring all supporting documentation is received on time and complies with HMRC guidelines.
- Checking and validating new starter documentation before setting employees up on Star Payroll.
- Ensuring all leaver documentation is received and processed correctly within Star Payroll.
- Maintaining and tracking Right to Work documentation.
- Monitoring the payroll inbox and ensuring all queries are responded to within a 24-hour SLA.
- Handling payroll queries over the telephone and providing support to employees and restaurant management teams.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Payroll Administrator or similar payroll position.
- Experience handling high-volume payroll, ideally within a multi-site environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A confident communicator, comfortable dealing with employees and management teams at all levels.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and support the wider team.
