What You Will Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments for adults within the Islington community.
  • Evaluate functional abilities, promoting independence and enhancing wellbeing for our residents.
  • Recommend and arrange necessary specialist equipment tailored to individual needs.
  • Assess for and facilitate both minor and major adaptations to improve clients' living conditions.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, working with residents who have complex needs and developing person-centred intervention plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with Health and Social Care partners to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Support residents in attaining and maintaining independence, enhancing quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, reports, and case documentation.
  • Contribute to pathway development and service improvement initiatives, ensuring our service continually evolves and improves.

Additional Information:

  • Reason for Hire: Project Work
  • Contract: Inside IR35

Requirements:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in adult social care occupational therapy.
  • Expertise in assessing for equipment provision and adaptations.
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team setting.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Local Authority experience and a background in integrated health and social care services.
  • A history of contributing to service development and managing complex community cases.
