What you will do
- Undertake psychological assessments of children and young people experiencing learning, developmental, behavioural, social, or emotional challenges.
- Provide high-quality psychological advice to support Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs), EHCP reviews, and statutory processes.
- Engage in consultation and intervention planning with parents, carers, schools, SENCOs, and partner agencies.
- Develop and implement evidence-based strategies to foster learning, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, resilience, and inclusion.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams including education, health, social care, and SEND professionals to deliver comprehensive support.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Doctorate in Educational Psychology or an equivalent qualification.
- Eligible to practice as an Educational Psychologist within the UK.
- Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) is desirable.
Registration and Compliance
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Experience working as an Educational Psychologist within education, local authority, or related settings.
- Proven track record contributing to EHCP assessments and statutory SEND processes.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with schools, families, and multi-agency partners.
