What you will do

• Undertake psychological assessments of children and young people experiencing learning, developmental, behavioural, social, or emotional challenges.
• Provide high-quality psychological advice to support Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs), EHCP reviews, and statutory processes.
• Engage in consultation and intervention planning with parents, carers, schools, SENCOs, and partner agencies.
• Develop and implement evidence-based strategies to foster learning, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, resilience, and inclusion.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams including education, health, social care, and SEND professionals to deliver comprehensive support.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Doctorate in Educational Psychology or an equivalent qualification.
• Eligible to practice as an Educational Psychologist within the UK.
• Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) is desirable.

Registration and Compliance

• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Experience working as an Educational Psychologist within education, local authority, or related settings.
• Proven track record contributing to EHCP assessments and statutory SEND processes.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with schools, families, and multi-agency partners.
