We have a unique opportunity for a Children Missing Education (CME) Lead with Education & SEND, based at Lynton House in Ilford. This full-time role spans 36 hours per week with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility by working from home and attending the office two days a week.

What you will do
- Lead the identification, tracking, and monitoring of Children Missing Education throughout the borough.
- Conduct home visits and work directly with families to explore and support educational opportunities.
- Collaborate with schools to manage the processes for school starters and leavers, ensuring timely information submission.
- Liaise with a variety of internal council services such as Children’s Social Care, Housing, Early Help, and Admissions.
- Develop partnerships with external agencies, including governmental departments and neighbouring authorities.
- Prepare complex documentation like safeguarding and court reports while maintaining confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate data records and produce statistical reports using Synergy and Schools-to-Schools (S2S) for service delivery.
- Offer advice and guidance to parents, professionals, and the public while promoting best practices within the CME community.
