What you will do:

• Undertake comprehensive Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and support planning for adults with mental health needs.
• Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely assessments, interventions, and outcome-focused reviews.
• Complete Mental Capacity Act assessments and contribute to Best Interest decision-making processes where required.
• Carry out safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments in accordance with local authority procedures and statutory guidance.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or an equivalent recognised social work qualification.
• Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to adult mental health practice.
• Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification is desirable but not essential.

Registration & Compliance:

• You must be registered with Social Work England (SWE).

Experience:

• Prior experience working within Adult Social Care or Community Mental Health Services is essential.
• Proven experience supporting adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions.
• Experience of managing complex cases involving safeguarding, capacity assessments, and high-risk situations.
