Job Title: Enablement Occupational Therapist

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Enablement Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in Walsall. This role focuses on supporting individuals to regain, maintain, and maximise independence through structured enablement approaches.
You will be responsible for completing enablement assessments, developing tailored enablement plans, and providing professional guidance to Enablement Officers delivering frontline interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive Enablement Assessments in line with service standards
- Develop, implement, and review individualised Enablement Plans
- Work collaboratively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide clear instruction and professional oversight to Enablement Officers
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions to achieve optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with policy and HCPC standards
- Promote independence, reablement, and strengths-based practice
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent experience within the NHS or equivalent health/social care setting
- Strong understanding of enablement, reablement, and functional assessment approaches
- Excellent communication, assessment, and care planning skills
