What you will do:

• Manage and oversee allegations against professionals, volunteers, foster carers, and others working with children

• Provide expert advice and guidance to employers and organisations on safeguarding concerns and thresholds

• Convene and chair LADO strategy meetings, ensuring effective multi-agency coordination

• Liaise with police, children’s social care, HR, and regulatory bodies to ensure appropriate investigations

Person Specification:

• Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) or relevant professional qualification

  • Evidence of continued professional development

• Registration & Compliance:

  • Registered with Social Work England or relevant professional body

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Children Act 1989 and 2004

    • Working Together to Safeguard Children

    • Managing Allegations Against Adults procedures

  • Enhanced DBS clearance
