This full-time locum position offers an excellent rate of £38.00 per hour, working 37 hours per week on a hybrid basis. You’ll work with adults aged 18 and over, supporting independence, promoting wellbeing, and helping individuals remain safe and able to live in their own communities.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as the role involves regular community visits to service users' homes and care settings.

What you will do:

• Conduct person-centred assessments for adults, identifying their needs and supporting their ability to live independently within the community.
• Apply a strengths-based approach to maximise individuals’ abilities and promote independence.
• Identify opportunities to reduce, prevent, or delay the need for additional care and support.
• Undertake community visits to service users’ homes and care homes, providing specialist assessments, advice, and interventions.
• Provide professional Occupational Therapy advice and guidance to colleagues across Adult Social Care.
• Undertake supervisory responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records in accordance with HCPC standards and relevant legislation.
• Work in accordance with the Care Act 2014, safeguarding requirements, and Continuing Healthcare (CHC) processes.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure coordinated and person-centred support.
• Promote safe, effective, and outcome-focused Occupational Therapy practice throughout the service.

Essential requirements:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working within Adult Social Care or a community-based Occupational Therapy setting.
• Strong understanding of person-centred and strengths-based approaches.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, safeguarding requirements, and CHC processes.
• Ability to undertake comprehensive assessments and provide appropriate interventions and advice.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
