What you will do:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments for disabled people and their carers who are eligible for services.
- Contribute to positive outcomes with occupational therapy interventions such as enablement, retraining, and recommending appropriate home adaptations.
- Ensure specialist equipment provided enhances independence or ease of care effectively.
- Present well-reasoned plans for environmental adaptations to the Major Adaptation Panel, representing residents in varied accommodations like Housing Associations or privately owned properties.
- Collaborate with disabled persons, their carers, colleagues, and professional services to create a cohesive and high-quality service.
- Manage and prioritise workloads independently within a diverse community.
- Use IT-based recording and data storing procedures accurately.
- Assist in supervising and developing the skills of staff or students.
- Deliver personalised plans and creative recommendations that promote independence and customer resilience.
- Conduct complex Assisting and Moving risk assessments, recommending specialist equipment and teaching safe usage to carers.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration is essential.
- The ability to drive is required.
