What you will do:

  • Undertake comprehensive safeguarding and welfare assessments in Private and/or Public Law proceedings, ensuring the child’s safety and wellbeing remain paramount at all times.
  • Engage directly with children and young people using age-appropriate and child-centred approaches to understand and represent their wishes and feelings to the Family Court.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality written reports for court, including Section 7 reports and analysis of care plans, within required timescales.
  • Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations and, where required, present oral evidence to the judiciary in family court hearings.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Social Work or equivalent recognised UK qualification.

Registration & Compliance

  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Knowledge of statutory frameworks including the Children Act 1989/2004 and family court processes.
