What you will do

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop outcome-focused plans to enhance the welfare of children and young people.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to mitigate risks and reduce vulnerabilities associated with the children and families in your care.
  • Prepare written reports and evidence to support legal proceedings when necessary, ensuring children receive the protection they need.
  • Establish strong relationships with children, families, and carers to truly understand their needs and plan interventions accordingly.
  • Stay informed on current best practices, particularly in court-related processes, ensuring compliance with SCW or SCE registration requirements.

The Purpose of this Role

In this role, you will be at the heart of supporting and protecting children and young people who require social care involvement. Through thorough assessments and strategic planning, you'll aim to improve their welfare and ensure they are safe from neglect and abuse. When the birth family cannot provide this environment, you will take the lead in preparing evidence for legal proceedings and working closely with all parties to find the best outcomes for these children.
