What you will do:
- Hold a caseload of clinical psychology work, covering assessment, consultation formulation, individual therapy, and possibly group work for adults with learning disabilities.
- Conduct assessments and diagnose autism in adults, bringing your expertise to those who need it most.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to tailor treatment plans that best support the needs of your clients.
- Provide supervision for junior members of the psychology team, helping to shape the future talent in the field.
Skills/Qualifications needed:
- Doctorate (or equivalent) from a UK recognised university with HCPC registration as a clinical or counselling registered practitioner psychologist.
- Experience in learning disabilities is required, with a strong preference for experience in the assessment and diagnosis of autism in adults.
- Familiarity with formal cognitive assessments and the formal assessment of autism is a must.
- Additional experience with therapeutic approaches such as CBT, systemic, narrative, EMDR or similar used in learning disabilities is desirable.
