What you will do:
- Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, organising your clinical time effectively and efficiently while supporting Band 6 therapists in this process.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of paediatric patients, including those with complex presentations, and develop individualised management and treatment plans using clinical reasoning.
- Identify neurological changes and the need for upper limb splinting as part of patient management.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and other hospitals to refer patients as needed based on clinical assessments.
- Communicate the outcome of assessments and treatment plans to children and their parents, including discussing the impact of the condition on their daily lives.
- Plan and implement individual interventions to enhance a child's development or recovery of function, working closely with children, parents, and the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
- Experience in Paediatrics
